Players must guide Dixie and Kiddy through various platforming levels, avoiding enemies and collecting items. The gameplay of Donkey Kong Country 3 is similar to that of its predecessors. Each world contains multiple levels that must be completed in order to progress. The game’s eight worlds are: Mekanos, K3, Red Sands, The Lost World, Gorilla Glacier, Krematoa, Volcano World, and Gangplank Galleon. The story of Donkey Kong Country 3 follows Dixie Kong and her cousin Kiddy Kong as they attempt to rescue Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong from the evil KAOS. The game features updated graphics and gameplay mechanics from the previous two games in the series, as well as new changes such as the ability to play as Dixie Kong. The game was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and was developed by Rare Ltd. Donkey Kong Country 3 is the third installment in the popular Donkey Kong series.
